The workshop was led by experts from the Research Services and Career Development Office at the University of Vienna, who presented an extensive overview of funding opportunities and related information.

It was divided into two parts: the first focused on national funding opportunities, while the second covered regional and European-level programmes. Both parts provided a clear overview of available funding schemes for researchers at different career stages – including doctoral, postdoctoral, and early-career researchers, as well as principal investigators – along with specific application strategies for each programme. Upcoming deadlines were also highlighted.

The workshop was well attended, and the presentations were very well received by participants, who had the opportunity to engage with the speakers during and after each session.
