The Ars Iuris Vienna uni:doc positions offer doctoral students a unique opportunity to write a dissertation under the supervision of a professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Vienna.
Ars Iuris Vienna uni:doc positions are primarily intended for the purpose of writing a dissertation. Assignment to a department within the Faculty of Law is based on the dissertation topic. Upon employment, Ars Iuris uni:docs automatically become Fellows of Ars Iuris Vienna.
- Duration of employment: 3 years
- Extent of employment: 30 hours per week.
Tasks:
- Writing a dissertation
- Participation in research, teaching, and administration
- Regular active participation in the events and activities of Ars Iuris Vienna
- Contribution to and independent teaching of courses in accordance with the provisions of the collective agreement
Profile:
- Doctoral studies in Law or PhD in Interdisciplinary Legal Studies
- A specific dissertation topic
- Confirmation of supervision by at least one professor of the Faculty of Law
- An interdisciplinary research topic & ideally two supervisors
- Didactic (teaching) skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work in a team
